The $1,250 cost to originate is a pass-through fee that covers the full cost of originating the loan. This includes expenses such as Plaid, Truv, credit reports, underwriting, processing, closing, and post-closing, and also covers the costs of unfunded loans.

This fee can be disclosed in different ways but it is most commonly listed as an underwriting fee.

Are there tax service, MERS, or flood certification fees?

There are no tax service or MERS fees. The flood certification fee is $9.
